Hotels - 4-5 Star

Superior Hotels in  Historical buildings or grand houses, in beautiful locations and with excellent service.Some have a gym and/or pool attached. Please advise us if this is essential to you or if you wish to have a spa session booked for you.  In many cases they have a well known restaurant attached. Please advise us if you would like  a meal booked.    

B&B - 3 Star Hotel to B&B

This type of property could be a hotel without the charm of the superior property or be a Bed and Breakfast in a family home. This is the basic rate for all packages and the superior accommodation is charged at a higher rate.      

Self Catering- Superior Self Catering 4 Star

In some places and for larger numbers of people we can arrange self-catering. For walkers we can offer camping pods on a farm adjacent to a walking route  or for those who would like more comfort the superior self catering property can be booked with breakfast included, often in scenic areas.     

Activities which include walking are graded into 5 categories based on fitness level needed for that activity. These are the grades determined by the Irish National Trails Office. Please confirm you have attained that level of fitness before booking an activity.


1 Multi Access
Flat smooth trails suitable for all people, including those with reduced mobility, wheelchair users, older people, visually impaired and those on crutches.

2 Easy
Generally flat trails with a smooth surfaces and some gentle slopes or shallow steps. Generally suitable for family groups including children and the elderly. Footwear must be enclosed outdoor footwear.

3 Moderate
These may have some climbs and an uneven surface where the going is rough underfoot with some obstacles such as protruding roots, rocks etc. They are appropriate for people with a  moderate level of fitness and some walking experience. Specific outdoor walking footwear and clothing is recommended.  

4 Strenuous
Physically demanding trails which have some steep climbs for long periods (over 1 hour) while the going underfoot can be extremely rough including many obstacles. Suitable for people used to walking on rough ground and with a high level of fitness. Outdoor walking footwear and clothing is required.

5 Very Difficult
These routes are mainly in remote upland areas. They typically include steep slopes and very variable and rough underfoot conditions on trails which may be indistinct. Suitable only for very fit and competent  mountain walkers with experience. Specific outdoor walking footwear and clothing required.

Day 1

Fly into Cork and collect your hire car. Option to collect a set of luxury golf clubs near the airport for the 3 days. Play your first Irish round of golf  at nearby Kinsale or Bandon  Golf Clubs. Drive to your base for the next 2 nights  in scenic West Cork.     

Day 2

Today you can play one or two golf courses. You have the option of a training session with a PGA Golf Pro to improve your game at Skibbereen Golf Club  with its 18 hole parkland course with panoramic views of the countryside.
The afternoon can be spent driving the spectacular coastline of West Cork or play a round on the 18 hole Bantry Golf Course. Put the skills learned with the pro to use. Relax that night at the 19th hole.    

Day 3

Play a 9 hole  round of golf at Glengarriff Golf Course, named after the late  Maureen O'Hara. It has one of the loveliest settings in Ireland, below the mountains and overlooking Garnish Island and Bantry Bay.  Return to Cork for an afternoon flight, returning your hired clubs on the way to the airport.
